What Shopping List Adder processes

The extension processes item numbers, quantities, retailer list identifiers, short-lived retailer authentication state, and captured request details needed to perform the list or cart action you request.

Payments and licensing

Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages. We do not receive or store your complete card number. Stripe sends the licensing service a Checkout Session status, transaction amount, currency, and limited customer details needed for receipts and support. The extension stores a random installation identifier plus an opaque paid, trial, or reviewer license code, its expiration when applicable, and the time it was last verified.

One-time trial redemption

A trial binds to the first random Chrome installation identifier that redeems it. The licensing service stores a random trial redemption identifier mapped to that installation identifier until the trial expires. Item numbers, retailer accounts, and browsing history are not included in this record.

Retailer authentication

Costco authentication is kept in Chrome's protected session storage and clears with the browser session. Walmart and Sam's Club authorization values remain in retailer page memory and are not written to extension local storage. Authentication values are sent only to the retailer that issued them.

Data sharing

Data is sent only to the retailer selected by the user, Stripe for payment processing, and the Shopping List Adder licensing API for purchase verification. We do not sell personal data or use retailer browsing activity for advertising.

Retention and control

Users can remove extension data by clearing extension storage or uninstalling. License transaction records remain in Stripe according to Stripe's retention requirements and applicable financial law.
